The Full Story

About

Let's start at the beginning. When I first started working the first job I had was working as a janitor and morning product stocker for a big box retailer. I quickly moved up the ladder working in every aspect of the company. By the time I left, I was responsible for the operations of three stores with about 300 employees. I learned a lot of skills from my tenure such as working with people, managing teams, and running a company successfully. I took the skills that I learned from my corporate retail experience and currently utilize them in my new career as a middle school math teacher. As a teacher I have had a wonderful experience. Not only do I teach math, I am also the basketball coach, robotics coach, intervention instructor, and teach a class that is made up of a specialized group of young men in partnership with the Social Justice Learning Institute. Additionally, as an instructional designer, I love creating learning experiences and take much pride in making learning accessible to all.
